Brief Description of Decision:

On 24th June 2021 St John Ambulance are celebrating St John’s Day.?

Traditionally events would celebrate the day physically but as with most celebrations the occasion will be marked virtually.

St John Ambulance request we will celebrate the day and use it as an opportunity to say thank you to our volunteers who have been working tirelessly through the pandemic and vaccination rollout?across England.

Reasons for the Decision:

RMBC wishes to join with other organisations in lighting up the Town Hall green on the night of 24 June, being St John’s Day,  as a way of thanking St John’s Ambulance for the huge contribution they and the 30,000 volunteers they recruited have made to the implementation of the vaccination programme.
