Brief Description of Decision:

That the Assistant Director of Planning, Regeneration and Transport authorises, in line with Contract Standing Orders Section 46.5 Delegation Arrangements, the tender submitted by William Birch & Sons Ltd on 27^th July 2022 for the repair works to the retaining wall.

Reasons for the Decision:

During recent inspections by the Council’s Structural Engineers a large retaining wall which supports an annex to the churchyard above the adjacent residential properties has been found to be cracking, bulging and starting to lean. The walls which retain the original churchyard above Church Lane (highway) and retain Church Lane above the churchyard annex are also in need of repair.
