Financial and Procurement Procedure Rules (FPPR’s) Clause 46.5:

Strategic Directors may permit, with limitations, other officers to authorise orders and Contracts in their own name on behalf of the Council. Any orders or Contracts made shall remain the responsibility of the Strategic Director. Strategic Directors must maintain an up-to-date scheme of delegation, which is refreshed on an annual basis at the commencement of the financial year.

Decision:

To award a build contract for £230,000 to Joju Ltd for the design and construction of a solar canopy at Riverside House over its visitor car park.

Reasons for the Decision:

To enable the installation of a solar PV canopy at Riverside House, reducing carbon emissions emitted in the running of this corporate building and supporting the Council’s delivery of its net zero by 2030 target.

In the Cabinet Report of 18 September 2023, Cabinet approved the identification of a number of decarbonisation schemes associated with buildings funded by either or both Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS)

This decision relates to the Riverside House Solar canopy. An Officer Delegated Decision recording an amendment to this component was published on 2^nd April 2024.
