Cabinet approval, meeting held on 16th December 2024, minute 92, Resolution 2 refers:

 

Approve the development of thematic interventions described at Section 2 and delegate authority to the Strategic Director for Regeneration and Environment in consultation with the Leader of the Council and the Council’s Section 151 Officer to add, amend or replace a scheme should it become unfeasible or undeliverable.

 

Decision:

It is proposed that the identified war memorial and civic centre improvement locations within the Our Places project be approved to progress to the design stage as outlined in both Outline Business Cases.

 

Reasons for the Decision:

Approval will mean that the identified locations for both the War Memorials and Civic Centre Improvements schemes can progress to the design stage, which is necessary to maintain momentum and avoid delays in delivering the Our Places programme
