Decision:

Approve the undertaking of stakeholder consultation on the proposed Safer Roads Foundation project along the A6022 between Woodman Roundabout, Swinton, and the Borough boundary with Doncaster.

Reasons for the Decision:

To ensure timely delivery of the A6022 Safer Roads Foundation scheme in alignment with agreed project milestones and client expectations, supporting the overall objective of improving road safety and maintaining stakeholder confidence.

Details of alternative options considered and rejected:

The Council may choose to develop and implement the proposals without consultation.

Choosing not to consult would mean missing the opportunity to gather input from residents, business owners, and Ward Councillors. This could result in a final design that does not reflect local needs or preferences.

Not undertaking consultation may also be perceived as a lack of openness in decision-making
