Decision taken under the powers granted to the Property Officer under section 29.12 & 42 of the Council’s Financial Procurement Procedure Rules (Appendix 5 of the Council’s Constitution).

 

Paragraph 29.12.1 states where the estimated disposal value is less than £100,000 the Property Officer, having taken financial and legal advice, may arrange for the disposal of land or property.

Decision:

Approve the disposal of the freehold interest in the property 20 Church Street, Greasbrough by public auction

 

 

Reasons for the Decision:

The decision to sell this property was taken under the powers granted to the Property Officer.

The pre-auction valuation carried out by Property Services was £90,000 and then on the advice of the auctioneers the property was guided for auction at a price of £75,000 (Both valuations being under £100,000). Following strong bidding at the auction the property was sold for £122,000
