Decision:

To award a 5-year contract and appoint Phoenix Software Ltd to provide the Council’s corporate data storage platform, at a value of £481,902.89.

Reasons for the Decision:

The recommended option was to undertake a further competition via the NOE CPC: Total Technology Solutions (Ref: NOE.0552) framework. The submission from Phoenix Software Ltd was evaluated as the 1^st placed supplier following evaluation of quality, cost and social value.

Details of alternative options considered and rejected:

The council considered an above threshold open tender process. However, the availability of a public sector framework provides a more efficient compliant route, hence the open tender option was discounted.
