 Page 21 refers.

Decision:

Approval is granted to include the proposed Grange Road and Castle Green Traffic Regulation Order within the Small Interventions Scheme 2024/25 and the Transport Capital Programme 2024/25.

Reasons for the Decision:

To enable the formalisation of an existing School Keep Clear markings through a Traffic Regulation Order, ensuring the restrictions are legally enforceable and supports the management of parking pressures associated with nearby school activity. The scheme forms part of the approved Small Interventions Scheme 2024/25.

Details of alternative options considered and rejected:

Leaving the marking in place without a TRO would:

·       Continue to leave the restriction unenforceable

·       Risk inconsistent or erroneous enforcement

·       Provide no improvement to school?related parking issues

For these reasons, the “do nothing” option is not recommended.
