Brief Description of Decision:

To award a contract to a contractor for the Rotherham Renaissance Flood Alleviation Scheme to provide pre-construction advice.   

Reasons for the Decision:

A tender process was completed for RRFAS2A on 6 September 2019 to select a Contractor to (a) provide-pre-construction advice, and, (b) to construct RRFAS2A, after the work in (a). The next step of this process is to authorise the award of contract for a contractor to provide pre-construction advice for RRFAS2A.

Details of Alternative Options Considered and Rejected:

The Do Nothing, Do Minimum and Do Something options were considered as part of Strategic Director decision for work on the overall Rotherham Renaissance Flood Alleviation Scheme (RRFAS) that was made on 22nd December 2017.

These decisions are therefore steps in the delivery of this overall scheme.
