Reasons for the Decision:

The Government announced that libraries were included in phase 3 of the UK Government’s COVID-19 recovery strategy which meant that they were legally permitted to re-open from 4th July, with appropriate safety precautions, dependent upon the local authority decision and provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The decision taken was to enable libraries to provide services in a safe way in response to the pandemic.
