Brief Description of Decision:



The award of a contract in respect of a licensed solution for the treatment and disposal of household clinical waste and sharps collected by RMBC on behalf of its residents.


The contract has been awarded to SRCL Ltd t/a Stericycle and will run for a period of 3 years, with an option to extend by a further 2 x 12 month periods.


Reasons for the Decision:



The result of a competitive procurement procedure.


The procedure was undertaken as a further competition exercise under the NHS Shared Business Services Framework Agreement for the supply of Waste Management and Minimisation Services (ref: SBS/17/NH/MXR/9307)
