Management of all Capital Projects within Culture, Sport and Tourism Services and all decisions relating to the management (purchase, loan, care, reproduction and disposal) of collections relating to of museum artefacts, specimens, works of art, archives etc. being gifts or bequests according to the Council’s acquisition and disposal policy for Heritage Services.

Brief Description of Decision:

This report details the progress to date made against the Play Area Improvement Plan as agreed in the Year Ahead Plan 2022/23, alongside planned improvements which will complete the two year Play Area Improvement Programme.

Reasons for the Decision:

To seek the approval of the Decision Maker to invest the remainder of the capital allocation on the schemes proposed in the report.

Details of alternative options considered and rejected:

Retain remainder of the Capital Programme budget and continue to offer a responsive casework service – the number of request via casework are now relatively low. As not all issues are reported through this system this could see some play areas with damaged or broken equipment take longer to repair.
