(Including Job Title)

Simon Moss

Assistant Director, Planning, Regeneration & Transport

Details of Specific Cabinet Delegation

or Delegation contained in the relevant Sub-Scheme of Delegation.

The sub-scheme of delegation authorises the Assistant Director to promote, consider objections to and implement Traffic Regulation Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Decision:

Approval of the proposal to extend the no waiting restriction (at any time) at Clayfield Lane, Wentworth.

Reasons for the Decision:

To enable the implementation of an extension to the existing waiting restrictions at Clayfield Lane. The extension of double yellow lines at this location will remove inappropriate obstructive parking from the narrow rural road that restrict the free and safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians.

Details of alternative options considered and rejected:

Various lengths of restrictions were considered. However, after enquiries it appears that the distance proposed will cover all the areas where indiscriminate parking takes place. Making no change was also considered, but this would not address the repeated concerns raised by residents. A 20mph speed limit along the whole length of Clayfield Lane was considered but did not receive the required member support to progress.

Conflicts of interest declared by any Cabinet Member consulted by the decision maker which relates to the decision:

None

Dispensations Granted:

(If any)

None
