Designate, de-designate and amend the boundaries of Local Wildlife Sites and Local Sites for geodiversity interest (including Regionally Important Geological Sites) following recommendations from the relevant Local Sites panels.

Decision:

1.   Two new sites: R155 Lindrick Common Quarry and R108 Seed Hill Wood are be added to the Rotherham RIGS series, using the boundaries shown in Appendix 1.

2.   That approval is given to proceed with the integration of these Rotherham RIGS in the determination of relevant planning applications.

Reasons for the Decision:

The sites’ approval and integration into planning policy would contribute towards the robustness of the Local Plan.
