Brief Description of Decision:

To award a contract to Air Environmental for the installation of air conditioning to the library and library office at Aston Customer Service Centre.

Reasons for the Decision:

The existing system has struggled to maintain comfortable conditions. The current cooling system uses the underfloor pipework to cool the room but is not capable of lowering the temperatures generated when the sun hits the architectural glazing which is prevalent on two external walls. The system has been checked and recommissioned but without success.
