The last meeting of the Board had been the away day in July when the ADF’s had been approved.

The Pathfinder Chairs were to personally hand over the case that they had collective made on the Comprehensive Spend Review for the continuance of Housing Market Renewal to Yvette Cooper, Minister for Housing and Planning.

It was noted that the DCLG had signed the Deed of Variation last week.

(2)  That the report by the Pathfinder Chairs be circulated to all ADF Chairs.

Jeff Goode reported that at the last Board meeting 2 presentations had been made:-

Impact of City Regeneration, Bob Kerslake, Chief Executive, Sheffield City Council

Impact of New Arrangements for Regional Housing Board, Sue Jeffries, ???.

The Board had also discussed the new funding arrangement with the DCLG with which there were some problems.  The agreement had been revised and was currently being considered.

It was noted that the TSY Board meeting had not taken place pending the announcement of the 2006/08 funding allocation.

It was noted that the Board was to look at its monitoring and management arrangements.

Negotiations were currently underway with the ODPM in relation to the next funding allocation, the outcome of which would be known next year.

It was noted that the Board meeting had been cancelled.

The HMRT Team Leader reported that the October Board meeting had been cancelled with the December one being an Away Day.  At that meeting they would be interrogating Rotherham on the financial commitments that had been made and what the likely spend was. 

Since the last Board meeting, the Audit Commission had carried out an assessment of the Scheme Prospectus 2 and had been very critical.   Rotherham had had to supply a lot of evidence to the Commission to defend its position particularly in relation to the economic context, elements relating to Planning and the capacity to deliver.  It would be known later in the day whether they had taken any of the comments on board which their final document was released.
