The Chair reported that she had recently spoken to Councillor Walker who was making good progress.

The Chair announced that members of the Democratic Renewal Scrutiny Panel had been invited to attend the meeting for the item relating to Chesterhill Intensive Neighbourhood Management Pilot.
The Panel were advised that Councillor Sheila Walker’s health was improving. Councillor McNeely passed on her best wishes for a speedy recovery.

The Chair welcomed Emily Knowles to her first meeting of the Scrutiny Panel. Emily would be working in the Scrutiny Office for a year whilst Sioned Mair-Richards was on secondment.

The Chair reported that the next meeting of the Scrutiny Panel had been changed from the scheduled date of 22nd January to the 15th in order to comply with the budget timetable.

The Scrutiny Adviser circulated a letter received from the appointed Liquidators of Farepak updating on the latest position.
Resolved:- That a letter be sent to the Minister at the Department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform expressing the Panel’s concern with regard to how the situation had been/was being handled.
