Agenda and minutes

The minutes of the previous Licensing Board held on 11th July, 2012, were considered.

Resolved:- That the minutes of the previous meeting be agreed as a correct record.

The following items are likely to be considered in the absence of the Press and Public as being exempt under the Police Act 1997 and Paragraphs 3 and 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (business affairs and prevention of crime).

Resolved:- That the following items be considered in the absence of the press and the public as being exempt under the provisions of the Police Act 1997 and Paragraphs 3 and 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (business affairs and the prevention of crime).

Consideration was given to the report submitted by the Senior Licensing Officer concerning the following applications for the grant of a licence to carry out house to house collections: -

Resolved: - That the applications, as now submitted, be approved.

The Licensing Board considered the report of the Director of Housing and Neighbourhood Services relating to applications for the grant and renewal of hackney carriage / private hire drivers’ licences in respect of Messrs. M.H., M.M., T.H. and S.M.Z.

Messrs. M.H., M.M., T.H. and S.M.Z. all attended the meeting and were interviewed by the Board.

Resolved:- (1) That, further to Minute No. Q10(1) of the meeting of the Licensing Board held on 11^th July, 2012, the application for the renewal of a driver’s licence in respect of Mr. M.H. be approved and he be issued with a written warning as to his future conduct.

(2) That the applications in respect of Messrs. M.M. and S.M.Z. be refused. 

(3) That the application in respect of Mr. T.H. be deferred.
