Resolved:- That the minutes of the meeting of the Licensing Board held on 16th June, 2010 be approved as a correct record for signature by the Chairman.

Minutes:

The Senior Licensing Officer submitted a report concerning the following applications for the grant of a licence to carry out house to house collections:-

Resolved:- That the applications be approved.

 

(Councillor Buckley declared a personal interest in the application in respect of the Fire Fighters Charity being a retired operational Crew Manager with the South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service. He took no part in the discussion or voting thereon)

Exclusion of the Press and Public.

The following item is likely to be considered in the absence of the Press and Public as being exempt under the Police Act 1997 and Paragraphs 3 and 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (business affairs and prevention of crime)

 

Minutes:

Resolved:- That, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in the Police Act 1997 and Paragraphs 3 and 7 of Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (business affairs and prevention of crime).

Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Drivers' Licences - Applications

Minutes:

The Board considered reports by the Director of Housing and Neighbourhood Services relating to applications for the grant of hackney carriage/private hire drivers’ licences from Messrs. P.A.Y., M.E.C., M.A.M., S.A., S.H. and L.M.W.

 

Messrs. M.E.C., M.A.M., S.A., S.H. and L.M.W. attended the meeting and were interviewed by the Board.

 

Resolved:- (1) That consideration of the application in respect of Mr. P.A.Y. be deferred until the next meeting.

 

(2) That Messrs. M.E.C., S.A. and L.M.W. be granted a licence for a period of three years subject to the satisfactory completion of the Driving Standards Agency test and medical.

 

(3) That the application in respect of Mr. M.A.M. be refused.

 

(4) That Mr. S.H. be granted a licence for a period of twelve months subject to the satisfactory completion of the Driving Standards Agency test and medical.

12.

Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Drivers' Licences

Minutes:

The Board considered reports by the Director of Housing and Neighbourhood Services relating to the hackney carriage/private hire drivers’ licences held by Messrs. M.A.S., A.R. and S.N.

 

Messrs. M.A.S., A.R. and S.N. attended the meeting and were interviewed by the Board.

 

Resolved:- (1) That the licence held by Mr. M.A.S. be suspended pending submission of up to date documentation and further attendance at the Board.

 

(2) That Mr. A.R. be issued with a warning as to his future conduct.

 

(3) That the licence held by Mr. S.N. be revoked.
