Exclusion of the Press and Public

The following item is likely to be considered in the absence of the press and public as being exempt under Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (staffing matters).

Minutes:

Resolved: -  That, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended 2006 - (staffing matters).

Arrangements in Relation to the Termination of the Chief Executive's Contract of Employment

Minutes:

Further to Minute No. 4 of the meeting of the Staffing Committee held on 1st October, 2014, consideration was given to a report presented by Jacqueline Collins, Director of Legal and Democratic Services, which set out a proposal for the early termination of the contract of employment for the Chief Executive.

 

The Committee were in favour of the proposal as submitted, but requested that the other options raised be considered on the basis suggested.

 

Resolved:-  (1)  That the proposed arrangements in relation to the termination of the contract of employment of the Chief Executive be approved.

 

(2)  That the Director of Legal and Democratic Services be authorised to conclude the arrangements and the necessary documentation.
