Resolved:- That, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 4, of Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (staffing matters/negotiations).

Further to Minute No. 2 of the meeting of this Committee held on 16th July, 2007, the Assistant Chief Executive, Human Resources, presented the submitted report relating to the above and highlighted the textual amendments requested by the Committee.

Resolved:- That, subject to the minor textual amendment now agreed, the report and revised policy be submitted to the Council Meeting on 10th October, 2007 for adoption.

Further to Minute No. 4 of the meeting of this Committee held on 25th July, 2007, the Assistant Chief Executive, Human Resources, updated the meeting on the latest position relating to the above and the impending employment tribunal on 20th August, 2007.

Resolved:- That the information be noted.
