Steve Mellard, Landscape Manager, to report.

-           to seek approval of a select list of tenderers for the Tree Services Contract.

 

Minutes:

Consideration was given to a report, presented by the Landscape Manager, seeking approval of a select list of tenderers for the Tree Services Contract which was expected to commence in February 2010.

 

Reference was made to:-

 

-                      the value of the contract

-                      background to the inclusion of this service in previous contracts

-                      procurement process via OJEU

-                      subsequent evaluation

-                      the Council’s previous experience of work performed by some of the listed contractors

-                      technical capability of the companies listed

-                      annual planned expenditure for tree works

-                      budget provision

-                      the need for the successful contractor to provide an appropriate level of cover for emergency tree works

 

Resolved:-  That the select list of tenderers for the Term Contract for Tree Services be as follows:-

Resolved:-  That, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended March 2006) (information relating to any individual;  information which is likely to reveal the identity of an individual;  financial/business affairs of any particular person (including the Council)).

Compensation Claim Report

Richard Waller, Team Manager of the Non-Contentious Team, to report.

-           to consider the recommendations.

Minutes:

Consideration was given to a report, presented by the Team Manager of the Non-Contentious Team, regarding the outcome of a Complaints Review Panel held on 28th October, 2009.

 

Consideration was given to the recommendations made by the Panel in respect of compensation to be paid to the complainant.

 

Resolved:-  (1)  That the contents of the report be noted.

 

(2)  That a joint meeting of the Cabinet Members for Housing and Neighbourhoods and Streetpride be arranged to consider the apportionment of the payment of the compensation.
