EXCLUSION OF THE PRESS AND PUBLIC The following item is likely to be considered in the absence of the press and public as being exempt under Paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended March 2006) (information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular individual (including the Council)):- Minutes: Resolved:- That, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended March 2006) (financial/business affairs). It is considered that the public interest in maintaining the exemption would outweigh the pubic interest in disclosing the information, as the enterprises’ commercial interests could be prejudiced by disclosure of commercial information. |

Approval of List of Framework Contractors for the Yorbuild Construction Framework Brian Barrett, Principal Project Manager, to report. - to seek approval to amend the approved list of contractors for the Yorbuild Construction Framework. Minutes: Further to Minute No. 21 of the meeting of the Cabinet Member held on 21st October, 2009, consideration was given to a report, presented by the Quantity Surveyor Manager, Rotherham Construction Partnership, seeking approval to amend the approved list of contractors for the Yorbuild Construction Framework with the addition of Wilmott Dixon Construction Ltd.
The reasons for the request were set out in the submitted report. Further details were explained at the meeting. The implications in terms of Lot 5 were set out in Appendix A to the submitted report.
It was also explained that the matter was considered urgent as the four lead local authorities involved wished to be able to write at the same time to the parties concerned on 30th November, 2009 and for the framework to be launched on 4th December, 2009.
Resolved:- That Wilmott Dixon Construction Ltd be added to the list of approved contractors for the Yorbuild Construction Framework.
(Due to the urgency of this item the Mayor was asked to consider exemption from the Call-in process. Approval was given on 30th November, 2009.) |
