Consideration was given to a report, presented by the Project Officer, detailing proposals for a public art scheme close to the Bierlow Close Community Hall, on Knollbeck Lane, Brampton Bierlow, Rotherham, to commemorate the heritage of the local area.

 

Details of the proposals were illustrated on Drawings Nos. A3/393/415a and A3/393/414a attached to the submitted report.  Appendix 2 to the report detailed the consultation that had taken place, together with the workshops held, in respect of the art work for this scheme.

 

Costs associated with the scheme were set out in the report and it was confirmed that funding had been secured from the Housing Market Renewal Pathfinder programme.

 

However, it was pointed out that the proposed works were currently the subject of a planning application.

 

Resolved:-  That, subject to the granting of planning permission, the funding arrangements be noted and the proposed works be approved.

-        to consider acceptance of a single quotation for a technical and product information system.

Minutes:

Consideration was given to a report seeking consent to accept a single quotation for a technical and product information system.

 

It was stated in the report that there was no other suitable supplier.

 

Details of the cost of the subscription to the website for this library of literature were given in the report, and it was confirmed that this could be met from within existing design budgets.

 

Resolved:-  That approval be granted to accept the single quotation for a technical and product information system, as detailed in the report now submitted.

Proposals to re-open the car park on the Riverside site off Corporation Street pdf icon PDF 39 KB

-                Martin Beard, Parking Manager, to report.

 

-                To approve re-opening of the car park.

Minutes:

Consideration was given to a report, presented by the Parking Services Manager, detailing proposals to re-open the car park on the Riverside off  Corporation Street as a temporary measure following site clearance and prior to recommencement of site works.

 

The site would provide between 30 – 35 parking places.

 

It was reported that the “set up” costs, to install a pay and display machine, provide signs and some bay marking repairs, could be met from the Parking Services budget, and that re-opening the car park would help to boost businesses based in the area of Corporation Street.

 

Resolved:-  That the car park be re-opened as soon as is practicably possible and remain open until site works recommence in March, 2010.
