The following items are likely to be considered in the absence of the press and public as being exempt under the Police Act 1997 and Paragraphs 3 and 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (business affairs and prevention of crime) Minutes: Resolved:- That, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in the Police Act 1997 and Paragraphs 3 and 7 of Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (business affairs and prevention of crime). |

Applications for the Grant/Renewal/Review of Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Drivers' Licences Minutes: Prior to the Sub-Committee meeting, Case A had been postponed at the request of the Applicant.
The Sub-Committee considered a report of the Licensing Manager relating to the Case B application for the grant of the hackney carriage/private hire driver licence in respect of Mr. H.S.S.T.
Mr. H.S.S.T. was in attendance at the meeting together with Mr. N.R. (trade union representative) and Mr. T (applicant’s father.) A trainee trade union representative observed the meeting with the permission of the Panel.
Resolved:- That the application for the grant of a hackney carriage/private hire driver licence in respect of Mr. H.S S.T be refused. |

Determination of Applications for a House to House Collection Permit Minutes:
Resolved:- (1) That, in accordance with the provisions of the House to House Collections Act 1939, the application by the Child and Teenage Cancer and Leukaemia Foundation be approved.
(2) That, in accordance with the provisions of the House to House Collections Act 1939, the applications submitted by Unicare Ltd (on behalf of Childhood Cancer Parents Alliance) and Unicare (on behalf of Yorkshire Children’s Trust) be refused. |
