The following items are likely to be considered in the absence of the press and public as being exempt under the Police Act 1997 and Paragraphs 3 and 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (business affairs and prevention of crime)

Resolved:- That, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in the Police Act 1997 and Paragraphs 3 and 7 of Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (business affairs and prevention of crime).

The Sub-Committee, considered a report of the Licensing Manager relating to applications for the review of the hackney carriage/private hire driver licences in respect of Messrs. A.Al-G and A.Y.S.

Mr. A.Al-G had requested that his application for review be adjourned in order to secure GMB and possible legal representation.

Mr. A.Y.S. was in attendance at the meeting.

Resolved:-  (1)  That the application for the review of a private hire/hackney carriage driver licence in respect of Mr. A.Al.G. be granted

(2)  That the hackney carriage/private hire driver licence in respect of Mr. A.Y.S. be revoked.
