The following items are likely to be considered in the absence of the press and public as being exempt under the Police Act 1997 and Paragraphs 3 and 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (business affairs and prevention of crime) Minutes: Resolved:- That, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in the Police Act 1997 and Paragraphs 3 and 7 of Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (business affairs and prevention of crime). |

Applications for the Grant/Review of Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Drivers' Licences Minutes: The Sub-Committee considered a report of the Licensing Manager relating to applications for the review/grant of the hackney carriage/private hire driver licences in respect of Mr. M.A.N. and Ms. S.M.
Mr. M.A.N. and Ms. S.M. were in attendance at the hearings.
Resolved:- (1) That the hackney carriage/private hire driver licence in respect of Mr. M.A.N. be revoked.
(2) That the application for a hackney carriage/private hire driver licence in respect of Ms. S.M. be approved.

Applications for House to House Collection Permits Minutes: Consideration was given to a report, presented by the Licensing Manager concerning the following applications for the grant of promoters’ permits to carry out house-to-house collections:-
Resolved:- (1) That, in accordance with the provisions of the House to House Collections Act 1939, the application submitted by Bramley and Wickersley Lions Club be granted.
(2) That the application submitted by Fundraising Support Ltd. (on behalf of Leukaemia and Myeloma Research UK), be deferred subject to clarification as to the percentage of proceeds paid to the charity in accordance with their Commercial Agreement.
(3) That the application submitted by Unicare Ltd. (on behalf of Heart Research UK) be refused.
(4) That the application submitted by Recycling Solutions NW Ltd. (on behalf of Cancer Relief UK), be deferred subject to clarification as to the amount payable to the charity. |
