This portfolio will draw together all of the waste
functions, including the waste PFI scheme, strategy development,
waste collection and disposal and also has responsibility for
street cleaning. It will include oversight of Health and Safety at
Work issues and the operation of the Emergency planning Function
which we also deliver on behalf of Sheffield City
Council

Waste PFI scheme jointly with Barnsley
and Doncaster Council’s.
·
Waste Management and Recycling
Strategy.
·
Waste Collection.
·
Responsibility for litter collection,
including enforcement, anti-litter campaigns and environmental
education.
·
Street cleaning.
·
Health, Welfare, Safety at Work and
emergency planning Issues.
·
The shared service emergency planning
relationship with Sheffield City Council.
