Development Proposals

Minutes:

Resolved:-  (1)  That, on the development proposals now considered, the requisite notices be issued and be made available on the Council’s website and that the time limits specified in Sections 91 and 92 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 apply.

 

In accordance with the right to speak procedure the following people attended the meeting and spoke about the applications below:-

 

-             Installation of 3 no. enclosed Padel Courts with acoustic mitigation and floodlighting along with relocation of existing cricket nets at Upper Haugh Cricket Club, Harding Avenue, Rawmarsh (RB2025/1576)

(2)  That application RB2025/1576 be deferred to allow for the attendance of the relevant Environmental Health Officer to answer questions at the next meeting.

 

(3)  That application RB2026/0146 be granted for the reasons adopted by Members at the meeting and subject to the relevant conditions listed in the submitted report. 

 

(4)  That application RB2026/0412 be refused for the reasons adopted by Members at the meeting and listed in the submitted report. 

 

Councillor Mault declared a pecuniary interest in application RB2025/1576 (installation of 3 No. enclosed padel courts with acoustic mitigation and floodlighting along with relocation of existing cricket nets at Upper Haugh Cricket Club, Harding Avenue, Rawmarsh) on the grounds of being a local business owner and living in the locality.  He left the room whilst the item was discussed and did not observe the vote.  Councillor Jackson assumed the Chair in this absence.

 

Councillor Duncan declared a pecuniary interest in application RB2026/0412 (application to vary conditions 02 (hours of use of external area) and 03 (use of television screens externally in covered area) imposed by RB2023/1386 at Ravenfield Arms Hollings Lane Ravenfield) on the grounds of being a Ward Member and had been contacted by local residents.  She left the room whilst the item was discussed and did not observe the vote. 

 

Councillor Reynolds declared a pecuniary interest in application RB2026/0412 (application to vary conditions 02 (hours of use of external area) and 03 (use of television screens externally in covered area) imposed by RB2023/1386 at Ravenfield Arms Hollings Lane Ravenfield) on the grounds of living in the local area.  He left the room whilst the item was discussed and did not observe the vote. 

 

Councillor Taylor declared a pecuniary interest in application RB2026/0412 (application to vary conditions 02 (hours of use of external area) and 03 (use of television screens externally in covered area) imposed by RB2023/1386 at Ravenfield Arms Hollings Lane Ravenfield) on the grounds of being a former Cabinet Member and having prior knowledge about the application.  For transparency reasons he left the room whilst the item was discussed and did not observe the vote.
