Report of the Strategic Director of Finance and Customer Services.

Recommendations:-

1.         That 20% top up discretionary relief be awarded to Rain Rescue for the animal welfare centre at Summerfield Lodge, Moat Lane, Wickersley, Rotherham S66 1DZ for the period 1^st April 2018 to 31^st March 2020.

2.         That 20% top up discretionary relief be refused to Rain Rescue for the shop at 8 Woodhouse Green, Thurcroft, Rotherham S66 9AQ for the period 6^th August 2018 to 31^st March 2020.

Consideration was given to the report which detailed two applications for the award of a business rate discretionary relief for the same organisation in accordance with the Council’s Discretionary Business Rates Relief Policy (approved by Cabinet on 12^th December, 2016).

Resolved:-  (1)  That 20% top up discretionary relief be awarded to Rain Rescue for the animal welfare centre at Summerfield Lodge, Moat Lane, Wickersley, Rotherham S66 1DZ for the period 1^st April, 2018 to 31^st March, 2020.

(2)  That 20% top up discretionary relief be refused to Rain Rescue for the shop at 8 Woodhouse Green, Thurcroft, Rotherham S66 9AQ for the period 6^th August, 2018 to 31^st March, 2020.
