This portfolio retains the oversight of all services for older people and therefore requires integrated working with the Cabinet members with responsibility for Housing and Public Health

·              Adult Social Services including personalisation, services that enable people to exert control and independent living.

·              Re-enablement  and prevention of hospitalisation.

·              Older People’s Strategy.

·              Learning disabilities, dementia, advocacy and mental health.

·              Carers strategy and carers centre.

·              Adult safeguarding including prevention of adult abuse, 24/7 contact arrangements and transitional arrangements from childhood to adulthood for people with complex needs.

·              Member of the Health and Wellbeing Board.
