Brief Description of Decision:

To approve the Procurement Business case to allow Highway Service to engage with contractors to deliver works included in the latest £1.2million Council Capital Investment for footway repairs.

Reasons for the Decision:

The additional funding will assist in repairing additional sections of footway, extending the life of the surface and providing a new surface and texture.

 

 

Details of alternative options considered and rejected:

Additional Council Capital funding has allowed Highway Service to increase the proposed Micro Asphalt programme. There is no capacity within the inhouse Highways Delivery Team to carry out this additional work
