SECTION 4C5: STRATEGIC DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICES – DELEGATED EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONS

‘The Strategic Director of Finance and Customer Services is authorised1 to discharge executive functions for:-

2 1. Setting, support and monitoring the Council’s financial strategy and ensuring effective financial management and controls , including:-

(g) Determining requests for early release and flexible retirement, in consultation with the relevant Cabinet Member.’

Decision:

Approval was given to request ERP0327 for the flexible retirement of an employee in the Children and Young People’s Services Directorate.

Reasons for the Decision:

The Panel considered this request for flexible retirement for

the individual to reduce their working hours from 37 to 18.5

hours. 

The panel agreed the flexible retirement and noted a saving for the service.
