Cabinet approval, meeting held on 19th December 2022 (para 83) refers:

In future those (cost multipliers) would be updated annually to reflect increases in build costs and as good practice in negotiating Section 106 planning contributions.

Updates to the section 106 Developer Education Contributions Policy are agreed

Reasons for the Decision:

To ensure that sufficient funding for education development linked to new housing is requested, in line with current   Department for Education multipliers.

Details of alternative options considered and rejected:

For the previously agreed 2024 Policy to remain in place, this contains outdated multipliers that have now been replaced by updated Department for Education guidance.
