Operational management and maintenance of Parks, Recreation Grounds, Play Areas, Camping, Caravan and Picnic Sites, Allotments, , Country parks, all land held by the Council specifically for public open space and recreation, Countryside Service including the letting of land and premises though subject to the approval of the Property Officer.

Decision:

To temporarily close the Watersports and Cycle Centres at Rother Valley Country Park and gradually resume services as appropriate assurances are put in place.

Reasons for the Decision:

To enable essential equipment checks, inspections and training to take place

·       Do not close the Watersports and Cycle Centres

·       Partial closure of the centres

Both were rejected to ensure that there were sufficient staff available to carry out the checks and training and to ensure full confidence in the equipment and systems being used.
