Brief Description of Decision:

Strategic Director resolved not to accept Officer recommendation with regards amending proposed waiting restrictions at Markfield Drive Wickersley in light of objections received.

Reasons for the Decision:

It was felt that the original proposal would better satisfy the original complaint of parking around the junction mouth; ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restrictions are potentially more easily understood and are therefore likely to lead to less confusion and have a greater level of self-enforcement.

Details of alternative options considered and rejected:

Report submitted recommended that the original ‘no waiting at any time’ restrictions be amended to working day restrictions.
