Brief Description of Decision:

1.    That the neighbourhood area application submitted by Firbeck Parish Council, as the relevant neighbourhood planning body, be approved.

2.    That Firbeck Parish be designated as a Neighbourhood Area.

Reasons for the Decision:

To enable the processes to enable the designation of Firbeck Parish as a Neighbourhood Area.

Details of alternative options considered and rejected:

Applications for neighbourhood plans are subject to a prescriptive process set out in central Government regulations. In this case, where a parish/town council applies for the whole of the area of the parish to be designated as a neighbourhood area, the local planning authority must designate the whole of the area applied for. As such, there were no other options to consider.
