To promote, consider objections to and implement Traffic Regulation Orders under the Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Brief Description of Decision:

Approval of the implementation of a proposed no waiting at any time restriction on various roads as part of an approved planning application for a new housing estate on the old Swinden Labs site, Moorgate.

Reasons for the Decision:

To improve the road safety environment for all vulnerable road users within the estate.

Details of alternative options considered and rejected:

Provide time limited waiting restrictions at the locations identified or no waiting restrictions at all. These options are not being considered, as the proposals aim to ensure that visibility splays at the identified locations are maintained at all times. The introduction of either of these two options would not introduce any additional road safety improvements that have been conditioned as part of the approved planning application for an adjacent housing development.
