Appendix 9, Section 4C3, of the Council’s Constitution provides that “The Strategic Director of Adult Care, Housing and Public Health is authorised to discharge executive functions through the commissioning and provision of social services for adults and public health services for the whole population and delivery of housing for the Borough, including: (4) Strategic Commissioning; (a) Commissioning”. 

Brief Description of Decision:

To award a contract for the provision of a Healthwatch Rotherham Service to Rotherham and District Citizens Advice, following completion of a competitive tender process.  For the period of 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2027.

Reasons for the Decision:

To secure the provision of a local Healthwatch Service to fulfil the Council’s statutory duty under the Health and Social Care Act 2012.
