Town Centre Events Grants - Summer 2024

We will require a decision on the recommended selection for the Town Centre Event Grants Summer 2024 rounds.

Grants have been advertised and event organisers have completed applications to deliver their own event in All Saints Square. There are five grants of £1500 available, one for each Saturday in August. This is the second grant scheme the Council has run: the first was in March 2024. The purpose of these grants is to create more free public events in Rotherham Town Centre, to drive footfall, and to support independent organisers to deliver their own events.

The Events and Town Centre teams have selected five for approval, based on: quality of application; appropriateness of budget; experience; if it’s suitable for family audiences; accessibility and inclusivity; and to offer a range of creative disciplines and cultural experiences.

A decision is required so that the applicants can be notified.  This will allow time to for awardees to promote and deliver the event.

Funding for the grants has come from UKSPF funding as part of an agreed RMBC Events’ Town Centre Events’ programme, and requires no RMBC Events budget.
