Children's Capital of Culture 2025-2026 Traineeship Programme

This is a decision to allocate part of Children’s Capital of Culture’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund grant funding to the continuation of our successful traineeship programme.  This will create at least 16 part-time paid roles for 16 to 25 year olds from Rotherham.  Grants will be awarded to at least five South Yorkshire cultural and creative organisations to employ these trainees and run an accompanying programme of events, activities, festivals and opportunities as part of the Children’s Capital of Culture Festival Year.  This decision is to approve the use of an open, public and competitive selection process to award these grants, and to confirm the organisations to be awarded the grants.
