New Unreasonable Behaviour Policy

A policy is required to set out what the Council defines as ‘unreasonable behaviour,’ and how customers will be managed if they behave in an unacceptable way or make excessive demands on Council services to the extent that staff cannot carry out their duties.

This Policy will apply to anyone communicating with the Council, regardless of the reason for contact, the nature of their enquiry, or the way with which they choose to speak to or comment about the Council.

It is applicable to anyone who contacts or visits Council properties, premises, or offices, and includes relatives, friends, acquaintances, or representatives of customers, as well as representatives from external organisations.
