To seek approval to amend the current bus lane traffic regulation order on the A6178 Sheffield Road. The aim is to maintain the free and safe movement of vehicles by allowing heavy goods vehicles to also use the bus lane.

The consultation will be in line with the Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 (SI 1996/2489) as amended. This requires a notice in the Advertiser and street notices for the public and in some cases written letters. Cabinet member for Transport and Environment Councillor Beck, Local Ward members, Statutory Consultees, including the Police and Road Haulage Association will also be written too as part of this process.
