  • Councillor Bob Walsh - Personal - Minute No. 84 (Proposed Tree Preservation Order No 3, 2018 - Land at Osborne House, 3 South Terrace, Moorgate Street, Rotherham) on the grounds that he was a patient of Osborne House Dental Surgery. He remained in the room, but did not speak or participate in the vote.

  • Councillor John Williams - Personal - Application RB2018/0662 (demolition of existing buildings and erection of 66 No. dwellinghouses with access, parking, landscaping and other associated ancillary works at land off Melton High Street, Wath upon Dearne) on the grounds that a member of his extended family worked at the local school and lived in the caretaker’s bungalow.

  • Councillor Bob Walsh - Personal - As part of his role as an Elected Member for the Rother Vale Ward, he had provided the Treeton community with advice and information regarding planning application RB2018/1236 (erection of 94 No. dwellinghouses including new access road and landscaping at land to the south of Wood Lane, Treeton for Jones Homes (Yorkshire) Ltd. Although he had remained impartial and objective, he was aware that the applicant could infer bias, therefore, he neither spoke or voted on the application.
  • Councillor Stuart Sansome - Personal - Councillor Sansome lived within the political boundaries of the ward in which application No. RB2018/1172 (conversion, extension and change of use of existing building to create 109 No. apartments (use Class C3) at Humphrey Davy House, Golden Smithies Lane, Swinton for The Lettings Room Ltd.) but had had no connection with the application.

  • Councillor David Sheppard - Pecuniary - Application RB2018/1774 (change of use to micro public (Use Class A4) and erection of a smoking shelter at Unit 10c Dale Road, Rawmarsh) on the grounds of his employment at a nearby micro pub. He vacated the chair and left the meeting whilst the application was discussed.
  • Councillor Robert Bird - Personal - Application RB2018/1774 (change of use to micro public (Use Class A4) and erection of a smoking shelter at Unit 10c Dale Road, Rawmarsh) on the grounds of general noise and disturbance and access/egress to the site. He spoke about the application, but then left the meeting and did not observe the vote.

9. Tree Preservation Order No. 8 2019 - Ulley Recreation Ground, Poynton Way, Ulley

  • Councillor Bob Walsh - Personal - TPO 2019/08 (Proposed Tree Preservation Order, Ulley Recreation Ground, Poynton Way, Ulley) on the grounds he had liaised extensively with Ulley Parish Council and several residents. He did not speak or vote on this matter.

  • Councillor Dave Cutts - Pecuniary - Application RB2019/1636 (change of use to bar (Use Class A4) and associated external works at 192 High Street, Kimberworth) on the grounds of his son being the architect for this application and left the room whilst that application was discussed.
  • Councillor John Turner - Personal - Application RB2019/0852 (erection of 8 No. dwellings and associated works at land off Sledgate Lane, Wickersley) on the grounds of his daughter and her family residing on Sledgate Lane. He did not participate in any discussion and abstained from the vote.

He remained in the room, but did not speak or vote on the matter.
  • Councillor Rose McNeely - Prejudicial - Application RB2019/1642 (part demolition of 1 No. single cell and 1 No. compartment service reservoir at YWS Boston Park Service Reservoirs, Boston Castle Grove, Moorgate for Yorkshire Water Services Ltd.) on the grounds of having been the Ward Member and involved in previous discussions on this matter. She left the room whilst the application was discussed and the vote taken.
