Minded to Grant Decision:-  (1)  That the re-commissioning of short break services with a 15% top slice for personal budgets (current budget £347,250 with a 15% reduction of the current level being £295,162) be approved.

(2)  That contracts be constructed to allow flexibility for future years to both assess the need in the service and also the uptake of personal budgets.

Reason:-  To consider the proposed approach to the commissioning of short breaks provision post 31^st March, 2016 when current contracts cease.

(2)  That the arrangements be noted to ensure the two current residents are appropriately supported through the closure and supported in their new placements.

(3)  That the closure of St. Edmund’s Children’s Home following the consultation process be approved.

(4)  That as part of the decommissioning of St. Edmund’s Children’s Home appropriate steps be taken around the proposals for staff.

Reason:-  To consider the outcome of the consultation and recommendation that St. Edmund’s Children’s Home is closed by 31^st January 2016.
